Spring is a time of emergenc-y, when seeds of the self, your dreams that have been gestating through the winter, come forth, blossom, and become manifest in unexpected and potent ways. Like pale seedlings pushing through the winter-hardened earth, new aspects of who we are burst forth from below the surface, breaking apart resistance, to be birthed into the light of day. Insistent and tenacious, our life force springs into action.
Associated with the element of Wood in Taoist medicine, Spring is the season to nourish and support the liver. Blossom in the Spring is a seasonal Chi Kung form that tranquilizes the liver, providing serenity and calm during this galvanizing season. This practice will nourish your creative life force, unleash momentum as you calm your spirit, and transform resistance into fuel for growth.
Open to new and experienced students - Pre-registration required - Sliding scale available

According to Chinese medicine, all illness and dis-ease stems from stagnant qi, creating an imbalance in body, mind and spirit. Qigong exercises transform stagnation into flow, increasing your vitality, empowering you to take charge of your health, and instilling inner peace, radiant well being and, of course, Joy!
Radiant Lotus Women’s Qigong, developed by international teacher/practitioner
Daisy Lee, was specifically created to support women’s health on all levels. Integrating practices taught to her by Chinese and Tibetan masters, this innovative system offers an array of simple and effective healing techniques that dissolve blockages and revitalize your life force.
This 3 part series will include several easy-to-learn qigong movements, powerful sound vibration practices and effective self-massage techniques. Vicki has been certified by Daisy Lee to teach Radiant Lotus Women’s Qigong.

WOJ News:
Vicki recently returned from Los Angeles where she worked with Professor/Director Joyce Lu on the soon-to-be-presented premiere of Mamo Kim's new play "CrazyMaking". Utilizing her unique blend of skills, Vicki assisted with auditions and callbacks, choreographed qigong for the play, and served as dramaturg for the script. The play is centered on the story of a Hawaiian woman reclaiming her Hawaiian identity and spirituality and is set to open April 1 at Pamona College in LA. Click here if you want to receive more information about the play.
On January 31, after attending a weekend board retreat in Austin, TX with the NQA (National Qigong Association), Vicki presented "Riding the Chi of Change" a workshop on transition. She concluded with a short, improvised theater piece about her relationship with her father, demonstrating the power of transition in the Way of Joy process when we work over time to achieve personal empowerment within the context of difficult, long-term relationships. This workshop is scheduled to be presented at the NQA conference in August, 2010.
